Sashe Omogiate is a keynote speaker, author, personal development coach, and philanthropist.
Sashe Omogiate is the epitome of Black Girl Magic. The author and philanthropist know first hand the importance of having a strong work ethic and has made it her life’s mission to give back to others along with her journey. By creating the Imani Within Foundation, she is dedicated to making a difference through promoting good health and helping people develop life coping skills.
Sashe is the eldest of two sisters and learned leadership early, with being raised by a single mother from New York. She knows hardship first hand. Growing up, her family faced financial struggles. She endured the hardship seeing close relatives suffering the consequence of crack cocaine addictions. Sashe learned, she points out, the wisdom of hard work and to never give up from her mother. It was early on that she learned the true value of faith. She believes in encouraging people to speak their truth, understanding that their past does not dictate their future. Sashe speaks from a background of dealing successfully with problems ...by using faith to look at a problem differently. When people are in crisis, she has said, “I almost always hear someone saying why me; I turn that around by asking, why not me? Why not you?” Her involvement is to also help people see life challenges as a blessing and that certain obstacles are trivial and out of one's control. She believes there’s courage in transparency and until people are able to speak their truth, they will never live up to their full potential. Sashe knows first hand how someone’s voice can be silenced by their dark secrets, forcing them to live a life that wasn’t intended. It wasn’t until she stopped denying her own doubts and insecurities was she able to start healing from the trauma she experienced with being a victim of sexual assault and the depression that followed. She was then able to use those circumstances as a getaway to find her voice.
Sashe was inspired to pen her first book, Truth Is based on her own experiences and revelations. Truth is, is a daily hand guide for women who are desperately searching for their meaning in life. Sashe empowers readers through lessons on self-reflection, failed relationships and business ventures, helping women become powerful and purpose-driven in order to manifest the life you truly want. Sashe continues to inspire and educate through her book as well as through speaking engagements. Sashe is a certified peer specialist and provider of behavioral services through Mental Health Consumer Network and certified speaker for NAMI (National Alliance Mental Illness Organization). She has received a degree in psychology at Ashworth College and continues to learn and grow.Sashe is featured on CBS 46 Atlanta Plugged In, 11 Alive ATL & CO, Magic 107.5, Kiss 104.1, WRFG 89.3, WOAK 1380, Michael & Joi In the Morning, and her publications include Rolling Out, Sheen Magazine, The Source, Madame Noire, Unapologetically US, Bold Favor, Delux Magazine.
