This will lead to people feeling comfortable in seeking diagnosis and treatment and reduce the stigma and shame that can be associated with mental illness. This event takes place in October for the week of Depression Awareness and the month of May for Mental Health Awareness. This joy-filled experience “Let Your Light Shine” will take place in Atlanta, GA with the goal to strengthen the community awareness of Depression and Suicide and bridge the gap between different cultures and backgrounds to build unity, healing and empowerment.
